What Is The Diference To The Heating Tubes’ Life Time Between Embedded Heating & Bare Air Heating

Electric heating tubes can be divided into embedded heating and bare air heating in the working environment for dry burning.

So what is the difference between these 2 heating methods? Does it affect the design of heating elements?

Here are the answers:

♣ Core difference: Heat transfer efficiency is different.

  1. Embedded electric heating tubes: As it is embedded in a hole, its surface heat is easily absorbed by the die or module, so the heat transfer effect of the electric heat tube is very fast in the embedded heating environment.
  2. Bare air heating tubes: As air has obstacle to heat transfer, the effect is very poor under the environment of bare air dry-burning heating.

♣  The effect of designment to electric heating elements.

As the heat transfer efficiency is different, the surface load design of the electric heating tube is different. The surface load of embedded heating electric heaters can be larger than that of bare air dry heating.

♣  The life time is different between these 2 types of heating.

The life of embedded heating electric heater is longer than the bare air heating elements, but it is not absolute. The specific life depends on the actual sizes and power.
