Can The Water Heating Elements Be Heated Outside?

In our daily life, we should encounter that the water heating tubes are overheated fast without completely insert into the water, and soon the heating tube will burn red and black, and finally stop working. Now, I would like to explain to you how the electric water heating tubes are heated exposed outside.

This should be analyzed from the power design of the electric heating pipe: the normal liquid electric heating pipe per meter power design is 2-3 KW, dry-fired electric heating pipe per meter power design is 1-1.5 KW. (The power per meter refers to the power that can be carried by the heating area per meter of the electric heating pipe.) That is, the surface load of the liquid electric heating pipe is twice as much as that of the dry-fired electric heating pipe, which means that the heat of the liquid electric heating pipe is twice as much as that of the dry-fired electric heating pipe.

In addition, the air has an obstructive effect on the heat conduction, so when the heating area of the liquid electric heating element is exposed to the air, the surface temperature of the electric heating element can not be released in time, so the surface temperature will continue to rise, the internal temperature will also rise. When the inner temperature of the heating tube is high enough to withstand the temperature limit of the resistance wire, the resistance wire will burn out. When the resistance wire burns the electric heating tube, it will be scrapped.

We can generally explain that the liquid heating tube can transfer 3KW of heat, when heating the water or other liquid, the water can quickly absorb 3KW of the heat, so the surface temperature will not be too high. The air can only absorb 1 KW of heat, so the remaining 2 KW of the heat stays on the waterelectric heating tube, causing the surface temperature too high and then burn out.

After explaining whether the electric heating elements for boiling water can be heated exposed, we should know why the heating area is easy to burn out when exposed. Therefore, when using the liquid electric heating pipe, the heating area must not be separated from the liquid to dry burning. If there is a need for non-heating area, you can communicate with the designer in advance and reserve the cold area.
